The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post

I am so sad that I haven’t read enough books this month to do an ‘End of Month Wrap Up’ post. I only managed to get through 2 books. That is the worst month I have had reading in a long, long time.

I am extremely busy at work right now and have very little down time for myself. I am thankful that I had queued up a few months worth of posts earlier in the year, so that I don’t need to be panicked about uploading new content. It is school holidays in 3 weeks and I am starting to write myself a large to do list for my website, Instagram and Twitter before Term 4 causes me to be even busier…and fall further behind.

This week I went and saw ‘Bad Moms’ and ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’ at the movies. ‘Kubo and the Two Strings’ is a fantastic movie that doesn’t have enough hype surrounding it. It is absolutely worth going to see at the movies!

Kubo and the Two Strings

I ate really healthy this week and decided it was time to give up the Redbulls. I almost had a moment of weakness at the end of the week, but thankfully I was strong! It is currently pouring down with rain and the perfect weather to try and get back into reading. Wish me luck!

If you haven’t seen Ponyo (the gif cover for this post) then stop what you are doing and go watch it right now!

Another week down!

I have finished Winter…finally! It was a pretty big let down – but I will save that rant for my review. However on the plus side, I got to start ‘A Court of Mist and Fury’. I am 30% through and already in love. Sarah J Maas is life. I am actively trying not to devour it. I want to take my time because I know the wait for the next one will be sooooo long. I am avoiding all social media because people are posting too many cryptic statuses about the book. No one will ruin this for me…no one!

I am still waiting on books to arrive. I bought ‘November 9‘ and ‘Maybe Someday‘ by Colleen Hoover which both arrived on Tuesday. I am hoping my Harry Potter’s will arrive next week and a few of my pre-orders, that I know shipped on Thursday.

I went out to dinner…again. This time I went out with my flat to Lonestar. Lonestar is an American style steak house. You just can’t beat a ribeye cooked to perfection. That Jack Daniels and cracked pepper sauce is heaven on chips. If I knew how to make it, I would be the size of a house!

After soooooooooooo much eating out I decided it was time to start a bit of a health kick. I really want to get into shape and improve my fitness for my New Years road trip. I spent Friday night making an awesome goals wall to keep me going. On Saturday I went for a walk/run around the lake with my sister and on Sunday I went with some friends on a small hike.

This week I want to stick to my fitness goals, finish ACOMAF and make sure I am super organised for work so that I don’t have to spend another weekend planning and marking. I need some me time.

Have a good week beautiful people!

The Sunday Post

I got this idea from RebeccaaReads: Blog

I like that it brings out a bit more of my personality and life for you guys to read.

I haven’t been able to read as much as I would have liked this week. It was the first week back at school. I had lots of planning, marking and photocopying to do during my down time. By the time I was ready for bed, I was too exhausted to even pick my book up.

I am currently trying to read ‘Winter’. I say trying because I feel so unmotivated to read it. I am forcing myself to not pick up another book until I finish this one….which sucks because ‘A Court of Mist and Fury’ has arrived and I want to read it sooooooooooo bad. I tried to set myself a goal of 100 pages a day, but this hasn’t seemed to be achievable.

Other than work + reading, I ate out a lot this week. I went to an Italian restaurant on Monday for a good friends birthday. On Saturday I want to a Chinese restaurant with friends…because why not?! Tonight my sister and I took our Mum to our favourite Mexican restaurant for Mothers Day. She loved it…even though the food was quite spicy.

This week it is my goal to finish Winter and spend a bit more of my weeknights doing things for me and less things for work.

Have a great week everybody!
